Tai Chi Vs Weights
After sending out mails to you about my weight loss plan last week, many of you asked how I go about losing my weight...
Gheez... thanks!
Some of you were curious enough to ask if Tai Chi can help reduce weights. But, it's very obvious: you've probably known the answer.
Tai Chi is the best load bearing exercise around. At best, it's martial arts.
It does great job in promoting your general well-being and health. You would probably agree with me on this - as you might have been practicing it without fail.
As for weight loss...
Well, frankly - to lose weight, you've got to do aerobic-like exercises. Example: walking, jogging, aerobic, cycling etc. And that's precisely what I'm doing now. I go for swimming too.
On top of that, the intake of calories have to be scrutinized closely.
You would agree that if one loses 1 pound of weight through workouts, but put in 2 pounds of weight through food... what's the point, isn't it? So, I do watch closely on my food intake.
"What about Tai Chi?"
I still slot in Tai Chi practice into my weight loss schedule. Not because of using it for weight loss purposes. But mainly to keep my practice going.
If you're passionate about Tai Chi, I'm sure you wouldn't feel comfortable the whole day if you miss out the practice, do you?
The only difference now is - because of time constraint that I'm facing, I have to do the simplified version, which gives me the same effect as the whole Yang style.
Oh, which simplified version?
Of course, it's Quick & Simple Tai Chi Chuan!
It's my little baby, you know it right?
No? You've not heard of it before? OK, here's where you can find out more information: www.TaichiForYourHealth.com
So, the conclusion I'm drawing with this post is: Tai Chi Vs Weights... not really a good combination!
Tai Chi has it's merits. Weights; require something else to lose!
Have a great weekend! :)
Cheers,
Guan
