(nice experience, though)

Trying to put relationships in place... especially when the other family is involved, emotionally! *sweat*

Mum Fell Down!

Mum fell down and has to be operated to replace her hip joint...

She fell again one morning after the operation, sort of fainted... (sigh!)

Well, it's OK now. She's recovering perfectly well now. Just took her to psychio yesterday. The guy there, Raymond told us that she's doing perfectly well. Phew! *relieved*

For the whole of last 2 weeks, after posted "I'm Back!", I was trying to sort out my online activities again.

Back...In Focus Now!

My sites were up and running again.

I've begun writing articles again.

And ah... I'm updating my blogs again. Will make it as regularly as possible.

Now, you'll probably be asking: Why now? Why not earlier?

Emmm... well, I did mention that we can be easily distracted, didn't I?

I've been sharing with others about Tai Chi Breathing, which can help them staying focus. And why didn't I?

I'm Guilty Of...

Well, I must admit: I have not been practicing what I've been teaching myself! OMG!

How can this be?

So, that's the problem. Running all around, and I thought, well, those practices can wait.

And you know what? It got worse!

Until one fine day, I sat down and thought to myself, "Hey! Am I missing something?"

And then, I realized that I ignored things which are important and beneficial for me.

So, now that I've begun practicing again, and put my life in perspective. And stay focus.

I'm beginning to settle down, and can spend more time doing what matters to me most - My Passion!

Passion And Focus

Yup - having a passion helps you stay focus. It's like what the motivational gurus said - you must have a goal, a dream, a direction, or whatever.

So, even if you do not practice 'secret' methods like I do, you can still stay focus by having a direction, a goal, a dream, a decision or whatever that you've always wanted to do.

Of course, if you need a boost in staying focus, you're always welcome to my site: Tai Chi Breathing.

I'm Practicing What I'm Sharing With Others Now!

And worry not, I'm sharing with you practices which I myself IS practicing now! Haha!

This is important to me, and to you, isn't it? I must do what I preach to others, mustn't I?

And also, I'm staying focus on my online activities again. Yup, these matters a lot to me too.

So, go ahead now. Get yourself focus onto something which matters to you most today!

And do drop by Tai Chi Breathing to see if you might be interested to share my 'focusing' techniques. ;)

And yes, may the Energy of Tai Chi be with you!
(Someone told me that I stole this line from Star Wars... and I admit, I'm a hardcore Star Wars fan! *wink*)

Guan
http://www.TaichiBreathing.com

C. Your stomach's muscle is anytime stronger than the muscles in your throat. Thus, you'll be able to 'throw' your voice out and have better vocal control.

Next, what about swimming?

You see, if you swim, you'll sure know: To make yourself float, you have to breath deep... yes, into your stomach.

This is one of the first few things that your swimming teacher would have taught you.

Of course, I know of people who swim without breathing into their stomach. They can still swim, but perhaps with a little bit more effort.

So, perhaps by now you're beginning to see the point I'm trying to share.

So, let's go on to Tai Chi.

In fact, martial art, Qigong, meditation and yoga, plus Tai Chi... all has one thing in common.

That is - the practices stressed on your breathing, and again - it's using your stomach to breath.

It is better known as abdominal breathing.

You can practice Tai Chi or whatever form without worrying about your breathing. That way, you're actually denying yourself the best benefits you're supposed to gain from practicing them.

Tai Chi is a form of Qigong, and Qi literally means air... and air implies your breathing. So, the most important part of these practices is your breathing; abdominal breathing to be exact.

So, the question: what does singing, swimming and Tai Chi has in common?

Yes, you've got it now - singing, swimming and Tai Chi uses abdominal breathing for the maximum effect.

"What if I'm not singing, swimming or practicing Tai Chi? What does abdominal breathing has to do with me?"

Great question!

Let me ask one question: You want to be healthy, stay healthy and live healthily, don't you?

Now look back to the paragraph mentioning about the most important part in Tai Chi or Qigong practices...

Got it? There, it mentioned that, "...the most important part of these practices is your breathing, abdominal breathing to be exact."

This statement implies one thing - if you do Tai Chi or Qigong without the proper breathing, minimal benefits.

If you do proper breathing without doing Tai Chi or Qigong, you'll get the health benefits... though not as much as doing both together, or as low as doing Tai Chi without proper breathing.

And what you need to do? Just change your breathing pattern... and that's it! Simple!

You'll remain as healthy as possible. Though I would suggest practicing Tai Chi or Qigong or whatever together to compliment each other.

You'll be focus, easy to concentrate, and alert at all times. Yes, just by doing abdominal breathing alone.

And oh, singing and swimming can keep you healthy too! So, what are you waiting?

Start doing abdominal breathing now! Where can you discover the simplest techniques to master abdominal breathing?

Here you go: Tai Chi Breathing.

C. This is better known as "Jianzi" by later generation.

You'd find them kicking it in a field, measuring only 30–40 cm in width, trying to strike it into a small net fixed onto long bamboo canes.

We used to play "Jianzi" using a different approach: we would try our best to keep it on the air as long as possible.

You have probably seen before, our simple game started by one throwing the Chinese
feather to another who will either kick it, chest it, head it, shoulder it (no hands please!), either keep it to himself, or pass it on to another friend.

Together, you'll see them working to keep it on the air, and counting, trying to beat the previous counts.

Interesting?

Look, this is not to say that football starts from there. Far from it!

You'd only see some similarity here... and it's just part of the Chinese folk games.

But, it's really amazing, isn't it?

So, to our questions - you already have the answer relating to World Cup (football) and Chinese feather...

So, what's this got to do with Tai Chi Breathing?

You see, I've designed a simplified exercise, extracted from my Tai Chi Breathing method, hopefully to share it with World Cup fans out there:

http://www.TaichiBreathing.com/wc.htm

What's that for, you'd ask, wouldn't you?

Right... it's basically to help diehard fans, perhaps you, to get more energy and stay more alert so that you can remain awake to watch your favorite matches on TV.

And that you will be wake up fresher, and have more energy to handle your work the next day.

It's your 'Survival Kit For The World Cup Month'!

Cool huh?

And I keep this sharing open until June 9, 2006 only. So, you want to find out here as soon as you can at:

http://www.TaichiBreathing.com/wc.htm

And as you know now, the answer to "What Do World Cup, Chinese Feather And Tai Chi Breathing Has In Common?", don't you?

Have a great day, and have a wonderful World Cup month!

Your friend,
Guan

Simple Tai Chi Breathing: The Survival Kit For World Cup Month

C. But, it's very obvious: you've probably known the answer.

Tai Chi is the best load bearing exercise around. At best, it's martial arts.

It does great job in promoting your general well-being and health. You would probably agree with me on this - as you might have been practicing it without fail.

As for weight loss...

Well, frankly - to lose weight, you've got to do aerobic-like exercises. Example: walking, jogging, aerobic, cycling etc. And that's precisely what I'm doing now. I go for swimming too.

On top of that, the intake of calories have to be scrutinized closely.

You would agree that if one loses 1 pound of weight through workouts, but put in 2 pounds of weight through food... what's the point, isn't it? So, I do watch closely on my food intake.

"What about Tai Chi?"

I still slot in Tai Chi practice into my weight loss schedule. Not because of using it for weight loss purposes. But mainly to keep my practice going.

If you're passionate about Tai Chi, I'm sure you wouldn't feel comfortable the whole day if you miss out the practice, do you?

The only difference now is - because of time constraint that I'm facing, I have to do the simplified version, which gives me the same effect as the whole Yang style.

Oh, which simplified version?

Of course, it's Quick & Simple Tai Chi Chuan!

It's my little baby, you know it right?

No? You've not heard of it before? OK, here's where you can find out more information: www.TaichiForYourHealth.com

So, the conclusion I'm drawing with this post is: Tai Chi Vs Weights... not really a good combination!

Tai Chi has it's merits. Weights; require something else to lose!

Have a great weekend! :)

Cheers,
Guan
www.TaichiForYourHealth.com

C.
